Chairman's Message

Dear Partners and Stakeholders, As we enter 2026, Ghana’s aquaculture sector stands at a critical inflection point. The industry has demonstrated strong potential to contribute to national food security, employment, and import substitution. However, scaling production and competitiveness will depend on how effectively we address three persistent constraints: access to finance, adoption of innovation, and structured market access. In response, the Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana is positioning Public–Private Partnerships (PPPs) as the primary vehicle for sector transformation in 2026, with a clear focus on unlocking investment, accelerating innovation, and strengthening markets. To operationalize this agenda, the Chamber will lead the implementation of four interlinked flagship initiatives:

1.National Aquaculture Training and Capacity Revival Initiative :

A PPP-driven effort to revitalize training infrastructure, strengthen technical and managerial skills, and improve productivity, biosecurity, and quality standards nationwide.

    2.Blue Food Innovation Hub Ghana:

An industry-led innovation platform aligned with global best practices, aimed at accelerating the adoption of climate-smart technologies, improved inputs, digital tools, and scalable business models across the aquaculture value chain.

    3.Market Access and Competitiveness Programme

Focused on quality assurance, traceability, and structured off-taker partnerships to strengthen domestic supply chains. We look forward to partnering with you in 2026 to advance a more competitive, inclusive, and sustainable aquaculture sector for Ghana.

    4.Aquaculture Finance & Investment Platform

Designed to work with government, financial institutions, investors, and development partners to de-risk the sector, structure bankable projects, and unlock affordable, long-term financing for aquaculture producers and value-chain businesses.

Focused on quality assurance, traceability, and structured off-taker partnerships to strengthen domestic supply chains. We look forward to partnering with you in 2026 to advance a more competitive, inclusive, and sustainable aquaculture sector for Ghana.
